Nice really nice. Was in Beijing last year for New Years and found this video does a great job capturing the spirit of the city. No better place to be for CNY.

As most of my writing still goes without much notice – and would but a small group of people really want to know “how to truly live in this world” when it seems we all just do that, and know quite enough – I still appreciate the insight and the hope.
You come up on my “social graph” often enough that I’d think you’ve made it, working for the NYT sounds good, too, and so it becomes all too easy to forget that there is hard work and a steep learning curve (not to forget the perseverance to go on with it all regardless of how hard and frustrating it can be) behind it all.
I still have to content myself with the thought that I wouldn’t want success in other things I didn’t care about, so I am happy to have a chance to persevere, and happy to hear your words and of your success.
Here’s to important stories, be they breaking or the quiet background everyone thinks they know. Fire!
